For those of use whose lives are tied to outdoor recreation, Washington State Governor Jay Inslee's recent announcement that he is beginning to reopen our state public lands couldn't come soon enough. @govinslee
announced he is re-opening state lands for day-use recreation on Tuesday, May 5th. And I can't wait to get out there...safely. I don't want to jeopardize all the progress we've made over the last couple of months by acting irresponsibly in the outdoors. So I'm following @scott_kranz
in his pledge to #RecreateResponsibly.
I know we're all chomping at the bit to get outside, but let's be smart about it. We need to keep doing all the things we've been doing in the city...maintain 6 feet (or more) of distance from people not in our group. Move off the trail and make room for others to maintain a safe space. In short follow the rules in the images above, be extra careful, courteous, patient and understanding to share our public lands so we can continue to do so. Please take the pledge with me and share safely in the outdoors. #Recreateresponsibly
