Yesterday I hosted the Mom’s Group I’m a part of and it was amazing! Of course I love every time we all see each other; it fills my soul to spend time together talking. However, hosting was amazing. It felt like such a gift to be able to open up my home and welcome others in.
Before we even moved into this house I prayed over it. I prayed it would be a place people felt safe in. I wanted a space that allowed others to relax, let go and be comfortable.
Seeing the moms relax on my couch and sit on my floor while kids played was a sign that this home is exactly what I prayed it would be and I am so grateful.
I believe yesterday was a lesson to me too of not needing to over complicate things when it comes to hosting. Sure, it can be fun to go all in but it’s not always necessary. By simply having a safe space for kids to play and a few snacks I whipped up within five minutes of them being here, that was all that was needed. It was enough and it was perfect.
Today on the blog I share one of my favorite drinks to have a glass of myself and to share when others come over, and that would be iced tea. I find it incredibly easy to make and so refreshing, while also being so adaptable to make many variations of. Go check out the easy recipe to make your own batch of iced tea to enjoy this weekend and comment down below what flavor you plan to make!
