✴️How the Covid 19 pandemic affecting the business?
🔸We know that our business had to be completely online. The pandemic meant that going outdoors in spaces with many people was potentially space where one could contract the virus, and we also questioned why in the past we made so many uncalculated trips to the shops, perhaps for only one or two items. We wanted to solve this problem by offering fresh, handpicked ingredients and other pantry staples at affordable prices, but all from local suppliers. In this way, we’d be helping innovative local suppliers gain a platform and access into people’s homes, and empower them too to carry on their great work.
🔸We aspire to create a network of small businesses delivered to your door, and we have met the most incredible small business owners and suppliers along the way. Establishing a new business can be challenging at first, and we wanted to thrive with the power of the community in mind, also while improving their eating and cooking habits. Soon enough we realized that people didn’t enjoy making trips to the supermarket, they are craved more food variety. Due to confinement, it appeared that families had more time to cook and improve eating habits by increasing their legume, fruit, and vegetable intake, to tackle this problem it led us to network with a range of small businesses and added a list of additional products to our website as add-on’s when ordering the Fresh Produce Box.
🔸We have met fantastic small business owners and now we sell everything from fresh fruit and vegetable boxes to dairy, baking mixes, spices, olives, olive oils, vinaigrette, meal plans, juice, candles bread, spreads, and non-perishables, but didn’t have the reach or platform to adequately market and get them to the consumer yet, and we hope to be able to aid them in this way. #women
